Olathe West varsity football has made it through the season and on to the postseason. The team advances from the game last week with a record of 6-3 from the season.

In comparison to last year’s varsity team, there have been some major changes to the team as far as wins and playing.

“As a team, we have gotten a whole lot stronger, our coachability has gone up too and just our level of play as well,” junior Trey Krause said.

Their first playoff game was last week against Bishop Meige ending with a score of 49-28 taking the owls to the second round of playoffs. They play Mill Valley this Friday at Mill Valley.

“I’m feeling pretty good, I like our chances,” Krause said about the upcoming game.  “It’s going to be a very competitive game.”

Anthony Favrow avoids a tackle by a Shawnee Mission West player as he runs it down the field by the 30-yard line.
