Allana Moore (Junior)
Junior Allana Moore has an infectious positive energy that makes her a great leader and positive role model for many students at West. Moore is the president of the Black Student Union and is a member of the Student Council, the Kansas Black Leadership Coalition, and the National Honors Society.
Moore created West’s first Black Student Union to help Black students and have a space where they can talk with others.
“There was not a lot of Black representation at West so I wanted to make it a centralized location and provide comfort for students who might not feel comfortable,” Moore said.
Moore has made a huge impact on Olathe West and continues to inspire students. She gets her inspiration from her father.
“He is very resilient and clear in his views,” Moore said. “He never wavers in what he believes and that is what I want to be like.”
