Kalista Brown (Senior)
Senior Kalista Brown finds the most satisfaction standing on stage performing. Brown is devoted to music and the arts. While working on show-week the cast can stay as late as 1 to 2 a.m. working to create the best show they can.
Brown is involved in choir and theater inside of school. Outside of school, Brown is involved in KC Acapella Soundproof, Theater, and is a part of the music ministry at her church. She loves the arts and finds performing and working on shows/music very rewarding.
“My favorite part about performing arts is watching everything come together at the end,” Brown said. “It is a very rewarding process. It takes a lot of work, but there is kind of a one-and-done deal that is very rewarding.”
In the future, Brown wants to continue her music education and pass her knowledge on to the next generation of artists.
“I’m going into choral and vocal music education at the University of Arkansas,” Brown said. “My end goal is to be a choral teacher, preferably at a high school or collegiate level. I also want to compose choral music and classical piano.”
