Swifties are grinning like devils after the news of her new ‘Eras Tour’ movie.
Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ has been ongoing since March 18, touring in major cities across the US. Currently, Swift is performing internationally before coming back to North America and wrapping up the tour.
Swift has been playing in sold-out venues during her world tour and captured her film during her nights in L.A.
Fans of Taylor Swift are known for crashing websites to buy tickets. AMC put out a statement that they are prepared for the influx of traffic to their website.
“AMC is also aware that no ticketing system in history seems to have been able to accommodate the soaring demand from Taylor Swift fans when tickets are first placed on sale,” AMC said in The Hollywood Reporter. “Guests wanting to be the first to buy their tickets online may experience delays, longer-than-usual ticket- purchase waiting-room times and possible outages. AMC is committed to ensuring any delays or outages are addressed as quickly as possible.”
When first logging onto the AMC site to purchase tickets, purchasers are placed in a waiting queue to wait their turn to buy tickets. Ticket prices are $23.89 for adults and $17.13 for children and seniors.
Wherever her tour leads her, Swift boots the local economy. She brings in revenue for hotels, restaurants, flights, and ground travel like Uber.
Senior Brady Knutson attended the tour and has already bought his tickets for the new film.
“I really enjoy all of her documentaries, but I think one is going to be so different and I’m so excited,” Knutson said. “The eras tour is such a huge spectacle and being able to go in person was such a surreal experience. Once the film comes out, I’ll get to basically relive that with a bunch of my friends in the theaters since I was able to get tickets, and then I get to watch it anytime once it comes out of streaming, which is just so much fun.”
Swift made a Twitter post right after she announced her film about her feelings toward the upcoming movie.
“The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far and I’m overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon,” Swift said.
