Olathe West volleyball wrapped up their season for 2019 last night with their banquet. The varsity team made it to substate, winning their first match but losing the second to Gardner.

“The season went really well we had a way better record than we did the past couple of years and I think we’ll continue to improve,” senior Ellie Wiltanger said.

The owls finished their season with a record of 23-14 and finish of 4th in the Sunflower League. The JV team got first in the Sunflower League and the freshman team finished second in their division.

“We had a better team chemistry on the court, we had a way better attitude,” Wiltanger said. “It was more of a team mentality rather than regressing to focus on the errors.”

The team finishes the season with five seniors leaving, Bethany Allison, Dom Loveless, Ellie Wiltanger, Katie O’Keefe, and Olivia Goebel.
