The Olathe Schools all join together for practices during the season. Olathe West’s team this year had many placings at competitions throughout the season.

“We had everyone coming to practice all the time, and we had great support for all the meets,” Junior Mackenzie Juneau said.

Juneau had placed many times at competitions, at the Sunflower League competition she placed fifth on all around, and third on bars. She qualified on all four events at state but ended up finishing with a fifth place on bars.

“It was exciting. We had individuals from South too so I wasn’t completely alone,” Juneau said.

Junior Ava Huntoon springs into the air as the judges, announcers and other team mates watch from the sidelines.
