Q: What meaning does your tattoo have?

A: I have two roses, one of the roses is for my grandpa. Before he passed away, he would always take me and my cousins to his flower garden. And then I have four elephants which represent my family, the biggest elephant to the smallest elephant.

Q: When did you get your tattoo?

A: I got my first tattoo on my inner forearm last year around March, and then I got my second piece which is the bigger roses and elephants over summer.

Q: Why did you choose that spot for your tattoo?

A: I chose the left forearm because your heart is on the left side and I wanted something where I could show myself with my body and not have to speak.

Q: Was it difficult for your parents to let you get it?

A: My parents understood the meaning behind it because they’re all about family and all that stuff so they understood it.

Q: How did your parents feel about it?

A: They didn’t really care about it, they liked it and then when I got home with the second one they didn’t realize how big it was gonna be so at first they were kinda in shock but over time they got used to it and they like it now.

Q: What meaning does your tattoo have?

A: I decided to put my mom’s name on it with roses because that’s her favorite flower.

Q: When did you get your tattoo?

A: I got it when I turned 17, so last December.

Q: Why did you choose that spot for your tattoo?

A: I kinda just chose it there, I didn’t really have a reason why.

Q: Was it difficult for your parents to let you get it?

A: At the beginning, yeah but then I convinced them for a couple months and then they kinda just let it happen.

Q: How did your parents feel about it?

A: They didn’t want me to get it but you know, I kinda just did my magic and I just talked to them and they were alright with it.

Q: What meaning does your tattoo have?

A: My grandpa, when I was little, we would drive into town because they lived 30 minutes away from the biggest town in their city, and he would tell me that the cows ate all the sunflowers as we drove, so I got this big sunflower for him.

Q: When Did You Get Your Tattoo?

A: I got it on my 18th birthday so August 18th, 2021.

Q: Why Did You Choose That Spot For Your Tattoo?

A: I saw some random lady in Florida in the bathroom with it on her shoulder and I was like I want a shoulder tattoo.

Q: Was It Difficult For Your Parents To Let You Get It?

A: So my parents had no say in me getting it and I told them it was gonna be able the size of a quarter and it takes up almost most of my shoulder.

Q: How Did Your Parents Feel About It?

A: I think once they finally got over how big it was they didn’t really care and they know I want a couple more.
