Tate Sebghati – Boys Soccer

“I began my career as a freshman with a lot to prove. I wasn’t guaranteed anything. Through hard work, perseverance, and dedication, I worked my way up the levels of the teams I was on. With assistance from my incredible coaches and teammates, we experienced great success. I rose from a bench player to an every game starter. There is no team I’d rather have been on this year, or any other year. I truly believe the process played out the way it was supposed to. The competition only fueled our desire to get better. In my time on the soccer team we won 2 state championships and lost 1 state championship (this year), with many regional and sunflower league titles in between. My senior culminated in winning going 14-2 in the regular season, (finishing 18-3), receiving third Team All Sunflower League honors, and having fun everyday with my teammates. I will always look back on my Olathe West soccer career with feelings of success and gratitude.”
