“I started my freshman year without any experience going into this sport. It was also new to the coaches as well since they have never coached a dwarf before, so it was a new experience to all of us. The next year, however, was a whole different experience with new coaches helping me figure out what works and what doesn’t. Year after year, I got better not only as a wrestler, but got mentally stronger and physically stronger outside of wrestling. Senior year is my most memorable, as we returned with no COVID restrictions and were back to normal wrestling, and because of the bonds I made with the people who stuck around till the end. The last season flew by so fast, and I can’t believe it’s over. I will miss every single second of it, except for trying to maintain weight. With my coaches’ help and my teammates’ support, I finished my career at my best.”
