School is ending and summer is right around the corner. We all find ourselves asking “What should I do this summer?” Well, you have come to the right place. Here is a bucket list of things to do this summer!

Thrifting: Save your money and upgrade your closet. Grab your friends or go solo. There are thrift stores all over Olathe, Kansas. MAJ-R Thrift, Savers, TurnStyles and the Salvation Army are all great thrift stores. Not only can you find clothes, but you can find books, records, shoes, cameras and even purses.

Ceramics & Coffee: Try something new by painting pottery. There are many around this area. A great place to go to would be Three Bees Pottery and Coffee Shop located in Kansas City, Kansas. This is a perfect place to go on a date, hangout with friends or even just to go solo. You can pick what ceramic piece you would like to paint and once you’re done they will fire it for you. While you paint you can sip on delicious coffee too.

Backyard Dinner Party: Invite your friends over, prepare food together, create a pretty table spread outside, eat dessert and enjoy spending time together. This is a fun way to get all your friends together and try new recipes and food.

New Workout Class: Try a new workout class over the summer. A great way to try workout a class is the CycleBar in Leawood, Kansas. Your first class is free. This is a great way to get exercise this summer. You can do this with friends, family, or just yourself. There are many different cycling classes you can take that work on different muscles.

A Trip To The Lake: A trip to the lake can be for a weekend or just a day. Lake of the Ozarks and Table Rock Lake are both great places to take your friends and family for the weekend. There are also local lakes for daytime activities like Lake Olathe or Shawnee Mission Lake. These places both offer paddle boarding, kayaking, and even canoeing.

At Home Slip n Slide: This is an easy and fun way to invite all your friends over and beat the heat of summer.  All you will need is a couple of tarps, soap and a hose or sprinkler. Grab some snacks and make this a whole day activity.
