Last Friday night, winter basketball season kicked off with both boys and girls varsity playing at home. After discussions about canceling or postponing winter sports in Johnson County, winter sports continue with mask wearing and no fans in the stands. started with the girls varsity at 5 p.m. and boys at 7 against Barstow. The girls came out on top with a score of 68-41. Along with the boys getting a victory with a score of 59-39.

The basketball season plans to continue with games this week starting tonight where the boys Freshman A and Freshman B and C-team kicks off the season. Thursday will be the next varsity boys game against Saint Thomas Aquinas played at home, followed by the girls on Friday. There are no spectators allowed, but the games will be streamed through OWTV on YouTube.
